Enhance Happiness
Find one’s self-worth, happiness, & confidence. Generally, positive affect involves smiling, greeting, using humor when appropriate, making positive, realistic and hopeful statements, demonstrating general enthusiasm, and clarifying roles and expectations (Taylor et. al., 2019). Enhance happiness by finding pleasure, cheerfulness, joy, and delight. Indices for happiness include smiling, laughing and yelling while smiling. Unhappiness indices include grimaces and frowning. Happiness can be altered through the use of motivation, movement, conversation, leisure and mindfulness training. Overt indicators of happiness does not always match the internal state of an individual and maybe under the control of spurious variables (Carr, 2007; Arbogast & Fryling, 2015). Happy people are more agreeable, extroverted, less neurotic and score lower on measure of psychopathology (Diener & Seligman, 2002).
Forgiveness liberates the soul. It removes fear. That is why it is such a powerful weapon.” Nelson Mandela.
